flash (macromedia):

If seen this question asked before, but no one answered it.

I have a Flash file (not on the net yet but as soon as the server comes back up i'll post it) that has some text that scrolls by the screen, and later some text that appears next to the buttons when the mouse rolls over them. When It's in editing mode all is fine, but when I publish the Movie or go to "Test", the text disapears completly. It's just not there.

Has anyone else had this issue? and If so, how'd you fix it..

Please help (please)

Cheers

Blair

Haven't seen this problem, except when you have a lot of text and you forget to set textarea to be 'multiline'

Hi

If you go to www.formacon.co.uk/Blair/blairyc.fla you'll see the file that i'm having a problem with, the buttons are supposed to display their name when the mouse is over them, but they don't :(

Any thoughts??

Cheers

Link didn't work for me.

Don't know what the problem is, but I'm curious: what font are you using fo the text? Try selecting it and hitting Ctrl+B twice(this breaks it up) if it gets messed up you know the font doesn't work in Flash(bug in Flash)

I would expect it to be a font problem(duh) where some settings aren't right. For instance, embed certain characters, but you haven't provided the right characters. If it's pretty simple just try starting over, checking your settings as you go, where you are putting it, ect.

And for animating text, put the texfield within a movie clip, then animate the movie clip. Avoids some possible problems.
