flash (macromedia): Hi all...

I was wondering if anyone out there has found a technique in turning ambient music off if the user presses a button that prompts a pop up window. That seems fairly easy yes?

eg:
on(release) {
turn sound off; <-----I'm certain I can find this actionscript on my own...
openURL("mediapages/movie1.html", "_blank")
}

Well, how do I get the sound to turn back on after the user closes the popup window?

Basically, What I'm doing is making a site with some background music. The user has the ablility to turn this sound off or on while navigating the site (of course!!). When the user presses a button that calls up a popup HTML window containing video; I would like the sound in the flash site to turn off for the duration of time the user is in the video window. This is obviously neccessary to do since the Flash audio will interfere with the video audio. When the user closes the video window I would like the sound to turn back on (*if neccessary) upon returning to the main site.

*I say if neccessary only because I would like the sound to come back on only if the user hasn't manually turned the sound off in the first place.

I'm sure I can wrap my head around the actionscripting, I'm pretty much stuck on a method of pulling this off.

Eloborate on how you got that sound there in the first place and on how the
movie is set up, because depending on that, we might show you different
ways.
