nested movie clips and exporting D42

flash (macromedia): I'm working on a project with flash and Final Cut Pro for Mac that requires I export my flash animations, and not publish them, for using in Final Cut. (I have to export in a .png sequence if that's important)

The problem is that if there is a movie clip with its own timeline in my scene, then that embedded clip will only play as a part of the scene if I publish the animation as an .swf or publish preview it. It won't play as a part of the scene if I just run the animation within Flash, or if I export it. I have the feeling it might just be a setting in flash, but can someone explain this occurrence to me and any possible solutions/ work-arounds? Thanks
Dylan

Don't understand the second paragraph of you're post but am guessing that
you're missing the movieclip animation timeline if you export to anything
other than swf. That is just the way it works. If exported to any other
lineair timeline format, the esport will only contain the main timelien, NOT
any nested timelines. Workaround is to either take the animation out of the
movieclip and put it on the main timeline, or exetnd the main timeline for
the duration of the movieclip to play, or ... live with it ;-)
