flash (macromedia):
In the frame you want the animation to stop, place:
stop();
that's it!

Seems to happen with the web and news people both looking and posting.
I call it a "bug"

I'm new to Flash, using MX pro 2004...I have a timeline that has images that fade in...I only want it to run once, rather than continuously loop. How do I control that setting?

thanks
Dave

create new layer, name it 'actions'

place keyframe(F6) where you want it to stop(in this case at the end of the movie)

select keyframe, and use actions panel(F9) to put this actionscript: stop();

Or with action panel, you can click the big + sign, Actions>Movie Control>stop
