flash (macromedia) : Call a seperate .swf

You want to look up loadMovie(); and loadMovieNum(); in the actionscript
reference. There are related technotes at Macromedia flash support ( link
under flash help) and many related posts/replies in the existing
conversation here that might help as well.

Is there a simple way (or anyway) to play a different .swf from within a movie?

I have 2 .swf that I can't modify, but want to play them in a different movie I am creating. I'd like to be able to click a button in on a menu in my movie and have it play the other 2 .swf's in succession (preferably in the same window) and then return to my menu.
