flash (macromedia): I am trying to use the dynamic text box and scroll bar features in flash MX, I have set out my box inserted my text (which fits nicely) and added the scrollbar. Labeled all my components and targeted the text box with the scroll bar. But whenever I save and re-open my work the text box has grown to fit the text in which now spills out all over the rest of the screen. How can I keep the text box a fixed size so that it doesn't grow on its own?

hi there,
i do it this way:
i create my textfield, i name it, i insert my scroller, i target the textfield. but the text of the textfield i attach using actionscript. txt_field.text = "..."; also the textfield should be multiline, not single line. i think this is all i can say about this problem.

scale down the scroll bar to the size of text you like .
It automatically fit to it . use the Transform tool to change component size.
