flash (macromedia): How do set up a .html file so that if the user does not have the swf
plugin, it will instead display a static .gif?

Thanks.

File - Publish Setting - Formats

Check GIF or JPG box and go to HTML - Templates

Detect for Flash 6

It generate the code for you and check for the player , if the player is
not detected it will display GIF or JPG image instead.

You need to check the GIF or JPG while Publishing other wise Flash using
this template w/o Image will generate an error . You can later replace
that Gif or JPG if you don't want to use the one made by Flash.
