I tried exporting a flash movie as an animated gif, but it only comes out as a single blurry .gif. The only way I know how to export a movie as an animated gif is with Adobe Live Motion. There has to be an easier way. Does anybody know how to do this with Flash?

Yes, you can make animated GIFs from Flash, however, you have to work with some limitations:

1) GIF only supports 8-bit color, so any truecolor graphics, like jpegs, etc will be banded or dithered.
2) You only get each frame that's on the main timeline - no Actionscript, or animation in embedded movie clips.
3) Interactive elements like buttons won't function.

Thank you; I was wondering what was going on with the animated gif.
