flash (macromedia): A very common effect on Flash web sites is a blinking or lightning effect. But I can't find sample code or a tutorial on how to do this. I'm sure it's very simple, but I'm pretty new at this (is it just me or is the Flash UI difficult to use?). Thanks.

You can just put the image(s) in a layer then just convert them all to key
frames then delete the imag out of certain frames. Play around with how much
"blinking" you want. Then after that you can convert it all to a MC and
place it on the stage where ya want it.

You won't have much luck in this newsgroup woth messages like this. The
people here like to help anyone out who has problems. It is not a
Flash-Tutorial Page. You will have to plan your projects yourself. (In
other words think for yourself!)

Try to get familiar to the way Flash works:

Check out how flash plays one frame after another.
Check out the difference between Keyframes and frames.
Check actions to stop the timeline

then you will be able to do what you aim for. (And this really is the
most basic)

(Check layers in the timeline)
(Check Tweenings)
