Looks fine to me. WinXP Home, IE 6
Maybe he isn't waiting long enough for it to load. Maybe add a preloader?

http://www.mhrhealthinsurance.com.

My client says that the Flash intro shows for only a second (doesn't play
all the way through) on his machine (and someone else's as well). I'm not
able to duplicate, and he has not/will not/cannot provide me with
platform/browser/Flash versions. If anyone has the time to just see if the
intro works for them, I'd appreciate it. If it doesn't work, could you
please just let me know what you're using?

I did the Flash in MX, and I think I exported down to Flash 4 or 5.

Thanks.

A preloader wouldn't hurt, but my client claims the problem is on broadband
connections. This cannot be the case, since I'm on a broadband connection
myself. But the fact that the client has a broadband connection doesn't
suggest to me that the problem is that he's not waiting long enough for it
to load.

But thanks for trying it out.

I think he may be on AOL, so if there are any AOL users out there who want
to try it out, that would be cool (though I can't fathom what difference
being on AOL would make).

Actually, I doubt AOL is the problem (in this case). Most AOL versions are
actually IE under the hood.

And really, either the API for browser plugins and Active X controls works
or it doesn't. My guess is that he has an older version of Flash, though I
thought I tested on older versions. I think I'm probably going to tell the
client that unless he can provide me with more info, I'm not going to be
able to resolve the issue.

well, the difference it would make is that AOL users are forced to use a
proprietry browser, rather than ie or mozilla. i've never had the
misfortune, but i believe there are issues with it.

I checked it on 9/18 @ 0415 Mountain Time. Loaded just fine on a Mac running IE5. I have 640K DSL connection. Good luck with the site!

AOL.....the largest isp that uses 100% spam to get clients.

they have to many problems and still suck in so many ways, just blame AOL if
nothing works..most likely the reason.

oh just for u to understand i lived in past 6-7 years in country that doesnt
even have AOL and we still got like 30 cds(x hours free) from them....
