flash (macromedia) : Slideshow Sound Questions

I've created a slide presentation and added voice over for each slide. I'm
using the default arrow keys to navigate to each slide (forward and reverse).
If you advance to the next slide before the current slide audio is finished
playing the audio overlaps and plays at the same time. How can I stop the
current audio when advancing to the next slide if the current audio is still
playing? Also, when you use the back arrow the audio does not play. How can I
have the audio play when using the back arrow?

Many thanks

Firstly, zip the .fla file, and attach it to your next post.
Secondly, Sound has always been a problem in Flash.
Thirdly, in between playing sounds, try using the code:
StopAllSounds();

As for the reverse buttons, you must make sure to go to a frame before the
previous sound starts, sound wil not play on frame 40 of that sound starts at
frame 38 and goes to frame 79. Flash just doesn;t do that, and neither to many
others.

Rangar, I should explain further. I'm using MX 2004 professional and I've
created the presentation with the slide show component. By default the forward
and back arrow can be used to advance and back up in the slide show.
Currently, the slide show is around 8MB with sound and video so even when
compressed it will be too large of a file size for me to attach and send.

For the reverse issue, all the sound files start on the 5th frame of each
slide so I'm assuming the back arrow is returning back to the first frame of
each slide.

I agree with you about the sound problems. I'm also having issues with the
audio sounding like it's fading in and you don't hear the first syllable for
the first word of each audio. I've checked and the effect is set to "none" so
the "fade in" effect is not active???

I was hoping the slide show component would make creating this presentation
much easiler but if there are not any easy fixes for these issues it looks like
my only option is to recreate the old school way.

Thanks for your help and any additional info you can provide.
