Why do I not have sound after I import a quicktime movie in mx, even with the " test movie" function

there is Import Sound check box upon the import , make sure it's checked.
Also , the MOV might not have compatibly sound compression.
You may need to export the sound in QT player and import separately to flash
than set it to stream to sync with the video.
In fact this is often good idea as you can control the compression setting not compromising
video quality and reduce file size in the same time.
