Clip plays on non rollover area. 8240

flash (macromedia): Hi everyone,
been trying to figure this thing out for awhile. I've created a button where
the user would rollover the button and a clip appears and plays at the center
of the page. the problem is if the user moves the mouse across the center of
the page the clip shows up and plays as well. Is there a way around this? or
did i build the file incorrectly?

Sorry about this elementary question. Flash is the most complicated software
I've used so far and it's a bit frustrating.
Thanks all, I appreciate any advice you can throw at me.
Good Day

[quoted text, click to view]

Sound like HIT frame problem in button.
Keep in mind that HIT is never visible , it only define
the hot spot, area on which mouse react. SO make it size and
location that you want the mouse to act on it.
Does not have to be same as other button states.
The best to adjust it on stage is to right click - edit in place.
this will show you stage while editing the button so you can
position and size the HIT frame exactly to an area you need.
