flash (macromedia):

I am a novice programmer, but I would like to run a visual basic application within flash. Is this possible?

Flash can run other applications in a separate window .. ie it can start
another application running .. but it cannot host the vb application inside
the flash window

You can ,however, host a flash movie inside a VB application .. that may
suit what you are trying to do.
