Never came across any method. Usually corrupted is considered gone.

It's a *great* idea to save incremental versions of your work - i.e.
myCoolWork_01.fla, myCoolWork_02.fla...when I am working on a project I will
save at least 8 or 9 versions in a day. This way, if a file goes FUBAR, I
never lose more than an hour or 2 work...

:D

I am having the same problem, and it is making me very angry.

-to original poster-
did you find a solution to it?

because everywhere i look for a solution, there are a bunch of idiots like the
person who responded to your, that only tell you what you should have done, and
not how to fix it.

please reply if you figured out how.

or anyone else, if you know how to open a file that gets an error message like
this.

"CANNOT OPEN SCENE, you file is not damaged and can be safely saved."

its non pleasant.

-thanks.

There is no solution, which is why I offered sound advice on how to avoid
the same thing happening again. If you think that makes me an idiot, it says
a lot more about your mental acuity than it does mine.

There are quite a few software on the market which claims that they could
recover corupted files, but personally I have not used any of them so couldnt
advice you on the best one.

Some webistes which offer some software are :

Something suddenly strikes my mind, hey you do you have the SWF of that file?
In that case you have some softwares like Imperator which can generate the fla
from the swf file.
