I went to a website and bought a Flash MX Component. However, the drop down
menu looks pretty ugly, and I would like to use my own images, but keep all the
actionscript and all that. Is there any way to convert a component from its
..swc format to a source file, like .fla or the original symbol???? Please
help. I will be eternally grateful.

this problem someone a time ago asked the same thing. But I can approach you
that there's no way to convert in a fla again.
The only solution for your problem is contact the creator and ask him or her
for the source code.
Once you complie for swc format, that made all, no back are avaiable.

So sorry to do not a good answer.

Well, you can't edit swc, tho when you import the component it is in library
and it's fully editable. Even tho they come with swc there is still source out there.
so search the hard drive for the same name. It's like zip that hold the stuff , not actual
flash file format. There should be a FLA source, just search the drive.
