flash (macromedia) : Bizarre Registration Point/ alignment problem

I'm having an odd problem and was wondering if anyone else has run into it and has an idea about what I can do.
Here's what I did: I made 2 rectangle shapes. Over each of these rectangles I added a text label, let's say "One" and "two". I left aligned the two rectangles and set them up so that the bottom of the first rectangle and the top of the second rectangle were flush up against each other. I selected the top rectangle and its text label, "One" and converted it to a button symbol. I did the same with the bottom rectangle and the "Two" label. Here's where the weird problem happens: after this step, the buttons won't align with each other. I can't get the bottom of the top button to line up flush to the top of the other button, there's always either a gap or they overlap. Even weirder, if I move the buttons around on the stage, the registration point changes its position in relation to the button. For example, if the registration point was in the top left corner, when I move the button, the registration point shifts so it is closer to the middle of the button.
Ok, hopefully that all makes sense. If someone has some insight into this, I'd really appreciate some help, it's honestly driving me crazy.

oh, p.s. I tried to do the same thing on some other computers, and I had none of the above problems...

I hadn't the problem, but it seems interresting, especially if related to a
specific computer.

Have some check :

- size of rectangle to be integer to see if that solve the problem
- use center for registration point and use a size for the rectangle
according the grid

good luck
