flash (macromedia): Can anyone tell me how to combine a guide layer with a layer mask?

I have an image which I want to mask with tidal wave effect, I need to guide the direction of the tidal wave with a guide layer but I don't seem to be able to combine layer masks with guide layers.

Can anyone help me out.

An effect per player , you can't make more than two option on one layer.

Than you place either one in movie clip and than once in movie clip apply another layer option.

if you convert to movieclips you can use

mc.setMask(mask_mc)
