flash (macromedia): I was building site the other day and went to add a scrollbar to a text field, and it wasn't in the components window.....where did it go? probably one of the most used components, and it is gone?
I can't accept that MM would remove such an inportant tool.

Not that I could use it anyway, because none of my components work, they just show up as boxes.

This has happened to me as well, what I did was to go to window> and then closed the components window and then went back to window>reopened the components panel and it was there again!! Odd!!

Urami mentions mx2004 but this has happened to me with just simple old mx. You say that your components show up as boxes, this is also very odd??

I guess it will be MX 2004 if so than I suggest checking textArea , according to the HELP
files it is the new version of scroll Bar.

I am using MX 2004
I went searching for the scrollbar comp in the folders of the MX 2004 install, and I found the components fla. In this are all the components in the components panel, and a few that are not there, like the scroll bar. So I exported the scrollbar as a swc, and now it shows up in the panel. I haven't tested it to see if it works, but it is there now. I don't understand why MM would leave it out, if they have it in the fla?
