flash (macromedia) : Not enough memory for Flash on Mac OS X

I had imported several QT movies into several Flash movies i was working on and Flash reported that it needed more memory and I could adjust it in the Get Info memory panel. Then Flash crashed. I didn't think that allotting memory for apps was possible in OS X only OS 9 and earlier. I attempted to adjust memory but the dialog boxes did not respond. I am using Panther OS X 10.3.2 on a G5 with 2.5 GB of RAM.

I got the same problem too. I exported the file in Illustrator as the Flash
movie. I made 2 movies. One is about 20MB and the another one is about 30MB.
When I double click the movie. Flash Player 6 will pop up immediately to play
the movie. The 20MB is fine but the 30MB got the problem. The Player quit at
once and pop up the message "not enough memory" when playing the 30MB. I have
already quit all apps and got 712 RAM. I don't know what's going wrong, just
know it shouldn't be the RAM problem. If I was in OS9, I can try to allocate
more RAM in Flash Player, but I'm working in OS10.2 and can't do anything on
it. That make me frustrated since I always need to make graphic movies.
Finally, I got the stupid way that to open the 30MB file in IE and it plays
fine. Any people help to answer this. Thanks

hi

I had the same problem with netServices.as created the problem. I replaced all
the class files from another commputer.

The class files are located in three places. IN the user folder under
application support and in assitants and witin the application first run if you
drill down within these areas yoiu will find the classes file.

Otherwise I would reinstall the programm. I do not know if it replaces all the
config files when you do this.

good luck
