Hi,

I need to import a Word document that contains Japanese characters into a scrolling text field in Flash. I can then export this and then import it into Director which is my main objective.

I have done this before, but a while ago, and I am now having a total mental block.

I have created a scrolling text field and tried to cut and paste in it from the Word document but the Japanese characters just seem to merge into each other. I can go in and manually insert spaces in between the characters but as I have 16 multiple page A4 documents this would take forever.

Can anybody please help me?

If it is not against the rules could you email me as I receive a nice loud email alert. You can use either mark@media.keele.ac.uk or mark.warren@zen.co.uk.

Thanks in advance for any help/advice offered.

Regards

Mark

I have no experience with Japanese, but I have been doing work with Hindi.

Are you using a Japanese localized system or an English system?

If you are using an English system then I think you will need to look at the http://www.macromedia.com/support/flash/languages/unicode_in_flmx/.
