flash (macromedia) : Flash MX Bug

I appear to have found a Flash MX bug, but have been unable to discover how to overcome it (this includes Macromedia...their bug file does not even list MX <pre-2004> bug fixes, their technical department wants to charge me, and their bug reporting feature has not resulted in any email communication). I am using Windows 2000 professional. I have built a text input field that displays the text in a dynamic text field. The data displays almost perfectly, however, the program disables my space bar...I cannot enter spaces between words! All other keyboard functions seem to work fine. How can I get my sapce-bar function to work within this simple application? Thank you. davep@echurchessentials.com

That's pretty lame. I would first try a re-install.

If you don't have any luck, I would 1)learn to not use spaces in naming stuff
ex: button - red light go
could be:
button-redLightGo

2) for text blocks(which is i assume the big problem) type in notepad and copy/paste in

good luck man
cheers

If you are embedding a font (outlines), ensure that the space character is
included in the characters you are including .. otherwise you won't see
anything. Alternatively, try a _sans, _serif or _typewriter device font and
see if that helps. Do you have any script that is responding to key presses
that may be stopping your text field from accepting them?
