flash (macromedia) : Flash MX menu fonts not displaying correctly

I just got a new HiRes monitor laptop specifically to run Flash MX and
Dreamweaver MX. When I loaded my copy of FlashMX, I had plenty of screen room,
but my fonts are unreadable. I've tried changing my screen resolution and the
menu sizes change, but the fonts do not. The details as follows: computer: Dell
Inspiron 600m, OS Windows XP, Display: 14.1 SXGA+, Display adapter: Mobility
Radeon 9000.
Hpe somebody can help. I was shocked to find asking macomedia would cost
$200.00. I'm long overdue on the 90 days, but I never had any problems on the
crummy old computer, just the nice new one.
Thanks for any help you can give me.

[quoted text, click to view]

You could be missing the font that flash uses .
Try to reinstall the
smalle.fon - Small Fonts
and
lucon.ttf - Lucida Console

these are interface fonts .... smalle.fon might be hidden so
to see it you may need to change the HIDE SYSTEM FILES to visible
under FOLDER and FILE OPTIONS

Also , you can try go to Display Setting in your COntrol Panel or from Right Click
on desktop - Properties - Setting - Advanced - General tab , and try to change the
DPI .
