flash (macromedia) : chinese fonts a go-go

in the middle of a project that is in chinese. i copied chinese text from a
word doc and was amazed to find that i could just paste it into flash mx 2004
pro with no problems as long as the font was either set to _sarif, or _sans. so
last night i made a change to some code for the navigation and as of today none
of the chinese characters are showing up. does anyone know why this is? i didnt
touch anything that had to do with the lettering. i even tried embedding the
characters (which i didnt do before and they still showed up) and that didnt
work, not to mention increase my file size by 500 megs. anyway, any help would
be much appreciated. thanks in advance.

why not use a proper Chi font instead of using _sans/ _serif.

Hi j3hu13,

You may try other fonts such as MS something. I used to cut Chinese from MS
Word to Fireworks and save/export it to PNG, GIF or JPG then import it to Flash
MX. You may try the same as well.

Hope it helps,

Jeffrey
