flash (macromedia) : load HTML pages in Flash?

we want to load text and images in our flash website. we don't want to make
all of our text flash based movie clips, b/c it will take too long to load (we
have a lot of text). we've been loading .txt files, but that doesn't seem to
allow us to load images embedded w/ the text (like an article w/ an image
displaying what's being described). is there a way to add the images w/ .txt
files? or can we load .html files instead?
thanks,
kenny

Well, there can be other ways, but do you really want to load html into Flash.

There is an algorithm that Samuel Wan tried that with mx, the algorithm is at

[L=http://www.w3.org/TR/html401/appendix/notes.html#layout]http://www.w3.org/TR/
html401/appendix/notes.html#layout[/L]

And sam wan's implementation is at,

[L=http://www.samuelwan.com/information/archives/000060.html]http://www.samuelwa
n.com/information/archives/000060.html[/L]
And the file is at
[L=http://www.samuelwan.com/flashmx_repository/table_layout/table_layout.zip]htt
p://www.samuelwan.com/flashmx_repository/table_layout/table_layout.zip[/L]
The algorithm is beyond by skill sets at the moment, to attempt it though.

Hi!
How did you finally solved that? that is ... embedding HTML files inside a
Flash movie??? I am currently in the look for that solution too. Thanks!

2 ways to do it:
[S=link to thread in Flash Actionscripting
forum]http://www.macromedia.com/cfusion/webforums/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=28
8&threadid=812769[/S]

i ended up doing it according to the linked tutorial posted by jaste. laveird
posted detailed instructions, but it never worked for me. his way would be
much simpler.
