flash (macromedia):
I am updating a website that had a nifty component we want to keep. It's nicely
scripted, works perfectly. Is there a way to import this original FLA into a
newer, larger (hopefully better) FLA as a clip?

Not really, you will need to manually copy paste , problem is you not able to automatically move
content from one file to another, even tho with copy paste . either way you going to use , Import to
library or copy paste ,
not all the content will follow. FOr example copy timelines will not include Library linkage items
which in case of components is frequently use. In case of opening as Library, you won' get timelines
and labels etc...
So no , there isn't any way to move all from one file to another w/o hassle .
