Sound is like whole other chapter of skills in flash.
Compression is very individual for each sound type.
For instance Voice is different type of audio than complex layered music.
There is many ways to efficiently compress lengthy voice file to really small
file with unusually clear quality ..
Save it as ADPCM (adaptive pulse code modulation) or Mp3 9kbps as your second choice.
Also , good idea is to layer your audio. If you design the sound yourself than do not make
one complex loop out of it but separate the instruments and layer them on timeline to make it
sound as one sound playing. This allow you to compress each tiny audio separately .
As problematic as it might be , it could produce extraordinary results .
Size and quality wise .
Try killersound.com , they cover all type of flash and audio aspects .
Some good stuff to read.
