kittenfalks;

See the following macromedia player troubleshooting technote:

http://www.macromedia.com/go/19166

Fwiw, from the symptoms you describe, I suspect player installation has been
killed on your system by a "pop up blocker" type utility:

I just installed the latest Free shockwave player and the latest Free Flash so
I could play neopets and watch videos on mutant x's officail website.

ALL I GET IS NOTHING! No error messages but no games or video's either! I
have uninstalled and reinstalled SEVENTEEN TIMES! I have used the manual
installers as well. Can someone PLEASE tell me what I'm doing wrong? I've
never had this much trouble before....

I will repeat-- I ran the uninstaller and then ran the installer that that same article you just quoted me said to use IT STILL doesn't work!

You did not make it clear that you used the standalone installer found
at that link in your original post (it is different than the online
installer most use). It is also not clear whether you checked the windows
registry as outlined in that technote, but perhaps the following (copied
from earlier posting here) will help:

I think the solution to your issue would be to first see if you have
a Flash.ocx file in
your one of the following directories (normally it is in either
C:/Windows/System32/Macromed/Flash
or C:/WINNT/System32 Macromed/Flash).

If you see that then the Flash is installed, yet it is being blocked by an
ad blocking software. If that is the case there is a registry item at:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\ActiveXCompatibility\{D27CDB6E-AE6D-11CF-96B8-444553540000}\

If you see the "Compatibility Flags: 0x00000400" Delete this. Some pop-up
blocker/ad blocker software adds this Compatibility Flag, which will kill
Flash Player. If you are unfamiliar with the registry and don't want to dig
through it please follow the directions below:

Download and Install:
http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html

Execute spywareblaster and go to "tools"
Go to the "flash killer" tab
Uncheck "disable and block Macromedia flash"

I hope this helps you. Please feel free to contact technical support if you
have any additional questions.
