flash (macromedia) : Problem with Flash and 'special characters'

I need some help in finding a solution to a problem I'm facing regarding the
display of special characters, such as "language accents" and other characters
that normally could be considered as ASCII characters.

The situation is this: I have develolped a Flash template (built with FlashMX)
wich is a database 'container' hosted and managed by ZOPE. The ZOPE-based
website handles well all ASCII characters in HTML., and those characters show
properly when displayed in the browsers. However, when they are displayed
inside the Flash template, the characters only show as a 'white box'.

The language characters I want to present are those used in the Spanish
language, and the system(s) environment in which the flash element and website
are built use the English language.

I have tried various forms of the using of 'Alt + 0000' to no avail. Does
anyone know how to overcome this challenge? I would appreciate any guidance
that could lead to a way of resolving this problem.

Gracias! Thanks!

why dont u attach those special characters into ur flash by converting them
into pictures, and then loading them ?!

this can solve ur problem...

get all ur special characters into the stage, converet them into symbols, add
them into ur library, then load them to the movie when u need them ...

Thank you Bimmer for your response :-))
I actually came back to my note and found your response. Thanks for taking the
time to respoond. However, I came back because I wanted to add to my note the
fact that I had solved the problem.
Thanks to the suggestion made by Pedromoreira on May 14/ in response to
another posting with more or less similar situation. His suggesion of using
the ActionScript line:
System.useCodePage = true;

...really solved the problem! I put this action in the first keyframe of
layer where the dynamic text was, and it took care of ALL frames! in that
layer, maybe it even works for the whole document... maybe I will confirm this
later in another doc.

Thanks Pedromoreira!!... and thanks too TheBimmer! :-))
