Well Macromedia have def. lost a customer here.

I recently upgraded from Flash 4 to MX 2004 here in Sydney. I sent my
order via email, stating it was Flash 4 and the serial no. as
requested. I assumed the old serial no. was necessary for them to
order from Macromedia. I paid for and collected the software. I get
home and it won't load. Ring Macromedia who tell me they no longer
provide upgrades from v. 4. This will be their policy from now
on....if you skip an upgrade you won't be able ever again to upgrade
without buying the full version!!!! This absolutely stinks in my
opinion and is nothing but a large corporate company with their huge
paws constantly out for their customer's money.

I can't afford to fork out hundreds of dollars for every upgrade. I'm
trying to get my money back, but everyone's passing the
buck...Macromedia says the store should have told me, blah blah.

Perhaps this mess. will help someone who is thinking of buying
