The Matrix ~ An Intro To My Webpage ~ HELP! SEALXVII

flash (macromedia): Thank you so much for taking time to listen to my problem.

Im trying to make an intro to my web page, and i have it entirely invisioned
in my mind, yet i am quite a newbie when it comes to Flash. If you've seen the
Martrix, then you will better understand what i am trying to accomplish. I want
my intro to start off with a black screen, and then have "The Matrix" code
slowly drip down the screen, just like from the movie. Then as it drips down
the screen, i want some of the pieces of text to mutate into the words
"Loading". Once this happens, i want the word to fly up into the corner of the
screen. This is somewhat of a rough description of what i need but, i would be
VERY grateful for any help that anyone can offer. If anyone can tell me how to
do this, that would be great, and if you have any suggestions to spiff it up a
bit, please just say so. Thanks very much! Please be detailed in your
descriptionText I am new at this! please be specific

wow.
to be as specific in our description as you request, and given all the things
you want to animate, it would be a small book.

first - let's take some baby steps ;)
what is your skill level with flash? do you know the basics of the timeline,
symbol behaviors, the tools, etc? how about the terminology - if we refer to a
MC will you know what it means?

basically what you want can be done but it requires knowing the fundamentals
of flash first - this you can obtain by doing the lessons that come with flash
under the Help menu.

the matrix code (going by memory) could be a series of movie clips containing
randomly animated numbers and these instances could be tweened on the main
stage.
the mutation could be yet another motion tween.
have you attempted it yet? if so can you supply a url for us to see your
progress?

To be totally honest... i know NOTHING about Flash... i just study the buttons
and kinda get to know my surroundings and then use trial and error... I don't
know the terminology either (including MC). I have in my posession STUDIO MX.
So whatever i need to do, those are the programs i have to work with.

Thanks for replying!

I've seen a tutorial somewhere which does the matrix effect, but I can't remember where and I don't have time to find it now. If you search the web or someplac like flashkit, you may find it.

You may want to check out Text-Osterone.
This program outputs animated text effects, including a Matrix effect.
Free demo can be downloaded from
