Hi,

How would I launch a pdf file from a Flash projector - on Mac and PC?

I tried getURL and it seems to work on my local computer, but when I try it on
others it doesn't...and then there is question of whether it will work on the
Mac.

Thanks so much.

[quoted text, click to view]

I don't do Mac due too fact that most of my work is on CD and there is literally no tools
that I require for my projects so I don't have mac solution for you .
The one I use is Jstart from http://www.FlashJester.com , which allow to open any file you like
with any parameters.
From the forum mac users I remember few people mention apple scripts but I have no idea in that regard.

JStart is much better looking than using the Behavior panel and loading pdfs
via your browser. Plus, you have other Adobe options such as bookmarks in that
case. But JStart took me a good week to learn--it's not exactly intuitive. It
is worth the money and worth learning ,too and the Flashjester help desk people
are really patient.
