Your sound shouldn't play little blips here and there. If you put your
sound in the timeline of a MovieClip and set it to stream, you need to
extend this timeline all the way to the end of the sound.
Also, the MovieClip with the sound in it shouldn't be on the main
timeline at the same time as the preloader. It should be in the timeline
after the preloader is done preloading.

I have a slide show movie with 29 photos in it. Photos aren't too big. The
whole package w/o sound is about 1,500K.
My problems started when I tried to add a sound track. I imported an MP3 and
brought it to the stage, set for streaming. When I move the play head in the
design view I can hear the sound clip play. However, when I publish and play,
the sound plays little blips here and there.
I changed my approach, removing the sound from the movie's timeline and
setting it to Export for Actionscript in the Linkage. It exports in the first
frame.
Well, now the sound plays, but while it's loading on the first frame none of
the other elements of the movie, including preloader, are allowed to load.
Let me back up to say this slideshow movie is being loaded into a main movie.
I couldn't find help with scripting a working preloader that would sit on the
Main.swf and show progress of the Slideshow.swf as it was loaded so I chose to
put the preloader on the Slideshow.swf itself. Is this wrong? Should I be
attempting to preload from the main movie to clear up this problem?
Thanks in advance for your help.
