Thanks to help from the fireworks forum....Using fireworks I created buttons
that when moused over or clicked swap images or text, works great but creates a
fairly large file. My understanding is that if the same thing is created in
flash the file is much smaller....Question: How can I create Lets say three
buttons that when clicked swap images or text (in flash).

Thanks for any help

When you make a button in Flash, you can define the off, over and down states
when editing the button symbol. As an example, open a new Flash movie, create a
shape that will represent you button, then select Insert:New Symbol. Name the
symbol and select button as the symbol behavior. Then double click on your new
button and you will get a short four frame timeline; the frames are named "up",
"over", "down" and "hit". How you modify the button within each frame will
define how the button looks when you mouse over, click or mouse off (up). The
"hit" frame defines the area that, when moused over, activates the button.

Hope this helps...
