flash (macromedia): hello, i am starting to make a flash movie that has music, an mp3 song, i
loaded it into my libary then got a button to load & play it, now i uploaded
this to the internet site and when the page came up the music played.... what i
need to know is, were is it getting the music from, is it embeded in the flash
movie or is it linked to my computer???? im new so please dont bite my head off.

I you loaded the movie into the library then it?s embedded in your flash movie.
And because of the security features built into flash, if it?s running of a web
server and playing in your browser window, it can?t access any files on your
computer, other than a shared object, which is like a cookie, so it couldn?t
get the mp3 file of your computer even if you wanted it to. (Well maybe you
could, but it would take a bit of work)

You said the button you made loaded and played the mp3. I don?t know if you
meant you loaded it from an external source (you can load external sounds, but
only off the same server that you flash movie is located on, but to do this you
would have had to upload the mp3 as well as the swf) or took it out of the
library and attached it to an object. I?d have to see what you did, but either
way it?s not playing from your computer.
