TextInput component - no text rendering -- flash (macromedia)

I have extended the mx.controls.textInput component to add a few properties. I
have compiled my component into a .swc file and I am able to drop the new
control on the stage and use it.

The problem I am having is that even though I set the this.text property in
the events for the my textInput it does not display the value on the screen.
The textInput display at runtime is always blank.

Does anyone have any tips in this matter ?

I have a car that always starts however the ssunroof doesnt work can you fix
that?

sorry for the sarcasm, but without far more detail noone can see what you
have compiled and have any idea where the problem could be.

I would sugest you post the files to a server and provide a link for
download.
