Convert the movie clip symbol to a graphic symbol. -Tom Unger

Hey everyone,

I have a movie clip that has about 30 frames of animation. I want to bring
that to the main timeline (I'm exporting a QuickTime and movie clips don't get
exported). When I go to the movie clip's timeline and select everything in
that timeline and select Copy Frames then paste it into the main timeline, it
gets pasted way off the screen and there doesn't seem to be an easy way to
select it all and move it over to where the movie clip is.

Is there an easy way to "collapse" a movie clip into the main timeline? I've
gone through the manual here several times and I've tried various things, but I
must be missing something.

Thank you very much for any tips or help.

When you place your clip as a graphic symbol onto your timeline,
you also need to set the properties to "play once"... (or "loop").
The default setting is "single frame" and you'll only see one frame
of your clip with this setting.

Thanks for the reply.

When I convert the movie clip into a graphic symbol, nothing happens in the
timeline.

The only way to get what is in the timeline of the movie clip/graphic symbol
into the main timeline, from what I can tell, is to copy and paste it manually.
When I do this, the alignment gets skewed.

Am I doing it wrong? I click on the movie clip on the state and then in the
panel I change it to a graphic symbol with the pop-up menu. I've also tried
going through the properties via the Library.

Thanks for your help!
