flash (macromedia) : Why won't my @#^%!^! CD autorun??

Hi there,

I have made a cross platform Hybrid CD-ROM using Toast on my MAC and the CD
includes both PC and MAC projectors. I have included the standard autorun.inf
file but the CD-ROM simply will not autostart no matter what I do. The INF file
has the following code:

autorun]

OPEN=MYFILE_PC.exe

name=MYFILE

This used to work on my PC last year but now none of the autorun CD-ROMs I
have made work. Is there some new feature in Windows XP that is supressing
autorun CD-ROMs? I suspect that the operating system just doesn't recognize the
file type and doesn't know what program to autorun the .EXE file with. Could
this be possible? Thanks

Right-click you cd drive icon in My Computer, you can set autoRum options from there, also holding shift when inserting the cd disables autoRun.

Yes, there is option , I personally set OFF all my CD roms to prevent software CD to
start installation every time I open it . Some have this stupid habit.
Most of the users do so .

I'm not sure how exactly , I have been using Tweak UI powertool for XP from
the very same day I get my XP.

Hi,

This is nothing to do with Flash but what the hell. on your auto run file
try puting a '[' before the autorun (without the qoutation marks) and don't
put OPEN in capitals. Hope it works or otherwise, somewhere on the net
there is a little program that makes the autorun file for you.

Try that out,

Ollie.
