I cannot get Flash to export a useable file format for DVD studio Pro or Final
Cut, whether it be a .swf of .mov. I have tried opening it in Quicktime and
exporting in various formats, and changing the various settings from within
Flash before publishing. I am working on a Mac. Does anyone have any ideas?

Hi, I posted this message to the Director forum, because I'm trying to do the
same thing you are at the moment. I have yet to hear back, but I know I'm
already onto a solution, because I've heard this addressed before specifically.

Personally, I'm getting some erratic results when trying to turn my Flash 5+
SWF movies (containing ActionScript) into self-contained QuickTimes...

But one method I heard of at a Flash conference, for ensured, successful
results, was to import the SWF into Director MX, then hit Export and configure
for QuickTime at 30 fps, to create a broadcast quality .MOV from a SWF that may
have an alternate source frame rate, or contain tricky ActionScript that would
otherwise prevent direct export from Flash MX.

The trouble I'm having is that Director's results are producing cranked up
(ie, "Benny Hill" speed) output, no matter what I enter in the frame "Rate"
value. For example, a 24 fps Flash SWF, when adjusted to 30 fps Fixed rate in
the Cast Member's property inspector, still yields a _much_ faster looking
QuickTime than 24 fps.

I thought I'd share this with you; my source for this info for was Hoss
Gifford, from Glasgow's Flammable Jam. He demonstrated this, with working
results. Unfortunately, my attempts to recreate it thus far are varied.
If you are successful with this, I'd appreciate knowing what else you learn as
I'm actively trying to resolve this too.
