I have created a movie clip that contains an animation of a set of images scrolling, when i insert this movie clip into the timeline and then export to preview, the clip looks as though the images streak or smear across the stage, and movement is unapparent. I dont understand what could be causing this. I recreated the clip, and it does the same. when I create other images on the stage, and add the mc, the other images look as if they are smeared also, when i remove the clip, the images are fine. can anyone help me? thanks!
could you provide a link? by 'streak' do you mean they appear strerchy? or do they appear jumpy, as if they move for split second, then pause, then strectch, then continue? If the streaks stay present, it sounds like it is a redraw error, could be caused by somewhat complex circumstances. If it's a jumpy streak, which sounds like what you are trying to describe by saying "streak accross the stage" then it might simply be because you have too many or too large of images, so your CPU can't handle. Flash isn't very good at animating images movement to begin with, having alot of images moving at once, or too large images will bog things down fast. Again, an URL would help me do less guessing. 1) How many images? 2) How large are they? 3) How many move at once? 4) How far accross the stage do they move? How far accross the stage can they been seen at once? 5) How big is the Flash movie?
thks for the reply!! yes, the streaks stay present. here is some more info... the jpg image was created in photoshop by creating one long image with multiple images. I optimized the jpeg and imported into flash where i made it a graphic and tweened the image from one end to the other. the jpg is around 500k and my flash doc is 1.4 megs. the streaking can be described as though the image was taken and blurred from one end to the other or "smeared". when the movie clip is played after export, it is simply the smeared image moving, with no definition of the original. does this make sense. this is my first post, how can i attach the file? thnks
