flash (macromedia) : No Audio in Flash Player

I have acted on and/or followed up all tips, tricks, advice and directions from
Macromedia and MSN --all to no avail--I have NO AUDIO in my flashplayer. My
system(XP Home) is as up-to-date as Windows Update and Bigfix can make it. I
have gone back and uninstalled and deleted all previous versions of both Flash
Player and ShockWave. I have re-installed both of them (today) and they appear
to function OK -- EXCEPT--there is NO AUDIO with any flash downloads from any
website. Can anyone help?
Please reply to; dwfox2@yahoo.com
Thanks and God Bless, Ron

Check your sound card drivers.
Go to manufacturer site and try to download latest one,
than you might want to considering getting their support,
as manufacturer they should know their products well and all
the troubleshooting involve.

I fixed it myself. Here's how: Open Control Panel; Open sounds & Audio
Devices; Check MIDI music playback-if it says Microsoft GS Wavetable SW
Synth---open the drop down and click on MPU-401. Close all back out. Now I
have sounds where I never had sounds before, including Flash and Shock.
