Just like to put a vote in for a flicker effect slide transition.

In the meantime, can anyone suggest a way of animating an equivalent effect?

The kind of thing that used to be on the nasa explorer site.

Can't find any current examples. (The nasa page seems to have gone.)

How to describe it? The kind of flicker on that computer displays and lasers
used to do in old sci fis. I guess it's a flash on, off, on, off with something
like exponentially increasing speed until steady.
