flash (macromedia) : importing bitmaps

i have imported some gifs to my stage and though the look mostly correct, some
(very few) of the pixels appear to be anti aliased, almost like flash is trying
to stretch them when they don't need to be.

I have not resized or distorted their proportions in any way in flash

I have tried right-clicking the gifs in the library and under properties,
unchecking "Allow Smoothing". This has not made a difference.

Please help!

Thanks in advance!

thanks, but that didn't do it, I'm still having the same trouble.

yes, they do, and in my exported movie, if I zoom in at %200, they look perfect too... it's just something about them at %100.

i just checked it on our mac in IE, and i saw the same thing, but if you move
the hero aroun(w,s,d,a keys) it sometimes goes away, and sometimes comes back.

I can see it when the hero appears on the page on the top of his head... there
is an extra row of grey pixels... then if i zoom in it is gone... maybe it's
just my computer...?

thanks
