flash (macromedia) : PNG Problem Importing into Flash

Hi:

Here's my problem when I export a png 24 from photoshop and then import into
flash the image looks washed out. In photoshop I've turned of the color
management which helps with jpgs which import correctly into Flash. Now before
you automatically go, "well it must be a photoshop problem." which it may be,
when I open the offending png's back up in photoshop they look fine. What I've
been doing is darkening the png's to compensate which is a pain and tricky to
get just right. Well if anyone has any suggestion I'd appreciate it.

Thanks

Probably not that many people have CS yet. But a shift problem has been
reported very infrequently for years. Some are very firm that they are using
RGB and not CMYK, are using Web standard sRGB color management, are using
photos with no embedded color management, etc. Don't recall if anybody has
brought up Gamma, again Flash would ignore any special settings. Perhaps 99.5%
of those that use Flash seem to not have a problem - I have never personally
seen a trace of such a problem. That is all I know anyway.

Thanks for the input. I'm surprised no ones had this specific problem. I've be programming Flash since version 4 and never run into this issue. I guess I'll have to ghettotech it for now.

I am experiencing the exact same problem. What I noticed, however, is that PNG-8 does NOT have this probelm. What is up with that?
