In parts of my website (ESPECIALLY in preview) the animation gets really
choppy. It'd pause for half a second before it continues animation. But in the
tweening and animation itself, I do not find any errors, thus I wonder what may
cause this? Thanks

What kind of animation is it? Are you using bitmaps? Or some very complex
vectors? Take a look at:
Macromedia Flash Documentation>>Using ActionScript in Flash>>Using Best
Practices>>Performance and Flash Player.

You may also give some more detailed information here to get some
explanation...

Do you have preloader ? W/o preloader it would stop on frame which are more
loaded with data and wait when entire frame content get loaded before
going ahead with the playback. Usually movie clip which can be large will cause it.
