flash (macromedia) : Bought Flash....

Well I bought flash 6 or macromedia flash mx, and it doesn't work. Well after
installing it, the trial version screen came up saying that my trial has
expired. And I outdid my trial a year ago. I called macromedia looking for an
answer and they never gave me one. My friend bought it at the same time as me
and when he installed it, it worked fine. The trial version never came up
because of the fact he didn't download the trial version. It just asked for
the name and a serial number. He typed it in, and it worked. I've been trying
for two days now looking for answers so I decided to come here to see if anyone
could help me out.

Thanks in advanced.

Macromedia has some the best customer service that I have ever used. I have had
recent dealings with them, and they are more than helpful.
Try uninstalling the trial version from your PC before opening the new
software. Everything should be great. Any problems after that, could be the
disc itself.

The trial version has been uninstalled years ago. Earlier today we tried
installing HIS Flash on my computer, so I doubt it was the disc.

When I was on the phone with Macromedia, I never got to talk to customer
service. They never let me it was all machines telling me to go to different
part of the macromedia website.

If your mates computer is working then why not try his CD with your serial
number.

If the problem is still there then it must be something on your PC left over
from the old trial. Backup and then wipe your computer and do a clean install
of your O/S and then re-install the disk.

Happy flashin

Try RegScrubXP, you can download it for free here
http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/Utilities/System_Maintenance_and_Repair_Utilities/RegScrubXP.html, I
use it and it works great.

Did you call Support or Customer Service? This would be a customer
service issue.

You can also email us.

So, there is plenty of trial related info on
http://www.macromedia.com/support/service/

And you can find Customer Service's contact info there too..
