flash (macromedia) : Flash 8 Security: Local .swf to JS scripting?

Hi, I need got to create a CD where flash embeded in a local html file sends
commands to JavaScript and controls a Java Applet and also loads XML text. How
can I get it done with the Flash Player 8 security framework? I've read basic
security articles but still don't like the idea of either installing the whole
thing with instaler or requiring the user to fiddle with the Security Manager
settings. Surely there isn't any way around this? Thanks!

I have the same problem.

My company developed a cd-product for a company last year. With the new
flash 8 security the cd behaves different. If the user ignores the
security manager some parts of the cd won't work. For example, a
javascript that runs from the application will not be triggered and the
user will not get any error-message.

Is there any workaround?
Is there any written user-friendly step-by-step manual for this?

Thanks.
