flash (macromedia) : Need help Editing Text in Flash SWF file?

First off I know nothing about flash but I do use dreamweaver. In a nutshell I
have a flash website and my flash guy hasn't got any time to update the site
when I need it done and now I can't edit any of the "text" portions to update
myself. (http://www.60wattvamp.com). When I open the swf it basically looks
exactly like the website but it seems there is no way to get at the text itself
to edit. I thought that the swf file simply PLAYS al the individual "movies" or
parts of the site but the problem is that there appears to be no other flash
editable files on the site at all so really I haven't a clue what to do. The
only "FLASH" file is main.swf

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Glenn

unless his "flash guy" is using dynamic text. then all he has to do is change
which ever text file needs updating. see www.usglamourkids.com/about.html for
an example (site's not finished yet but you get the idea). If I need to update
any information in the flash on this page all I need to do is change the
about.txt file and upload that and *viola!* new info appears next time the page
loads!

There's a good tutorial on how to use this feature on flashkit.com. If you
get a chance, check it out. Sorry, I don't remember who wrote it. :(

Also, you'll need flash player 8 to view usglamourkids.com properly.

Hope this helps,

M.

Thanks - I did that and everything seems to work aside from a couple of things

A: The fonts are screwy - they look nothing like the original (It asked me if
I wanted toi use the default fonts becaus ethe others weren;t available to edit
but that it would still save as the original ones) yet when I upload and review
it does not use the correct fonts that were originally there although they
still refer to that in the document.

Thoughts?

B: Certain text had links which had an underline feature when you hovered over
them - if I edit text in the same box however th eunderline moves around and is
seemingly uneditable yet it currently appears in the wrong space not even
located with words the text but it is still an active link if I click on the
area and the underline appears out of nowehere.

Thanks,
Glenn
