Anyone have a good reference for controlling the look and behavior of
animated gifs exported from Flash?

Dirk,

The GIF format doesn't offer a whole lot of control in regard to
behavior. You can essentially loop a GIF a certain number of times,
forever, or not loop it at all -- and that's it.

What behavior are you looking to achieve?

This is driving me crazy! Somewhere I remember a tutorial or technote
explaining how to label certain frames and then it would skip to those on
the animated gif-- and now for the life of me can't find it. This is useful
when creating banners for online publications, controlling what is & is not
shown & deemed important. Ugh. I guess I will have to now open all of my
..fla files from this year because I *do* remember I did it once for
something this year...
