Why might I be getting inconsistant reports on a demo I uploaded to my web site?

I have three users all with XP. I can see all sites and sounds of the demo, 1
of the other two see everything but no sound, and the third, no sound and only
about half of the graphic content... Why on earth might this be happening??

Good answer..."NewsGroupUser"

Is Flash depending on the browser's capabilities, or is flash a stand alone
player? If the latter is true, it does not make sense! If the former, should
I be looking into making my ap a "projector"?...what ever a projector is...

I really would love to help you but I just don't understand what is that
you asking for.
Flash does not depends on browser capabilities, it require player to run
and it will than work in any bowser. For the standalone, flash is standalone
if the author save it to be, not by default. So the answer to that question
would be YES and NO.

If you go here...

http://trulineint.com/forum.asp?file=31

You'll see a little snip of what I am working on at present. You should get
magnification with the scope, you should get sound when you click the mouse.
You should see a graphic around the glass, you should see a red triangle
reticle and black cross hairs. Some folks have commented that they only see
half of what is up.... Some say they only see a circle with no reticle...which
would be a graphic on top of a movie clip I have following a mask. this mask
shows a duplicate of the back ground and magnifies it x-5.

I am asking, why would only portions of it show to some visitors?

Hi Truline.

Everything works proper for me when I view your link. Sounds to me like some
of your users are viewing the flash with a version lower than 8. I recently had
this problem with some of my machines displaying on portions of a flash movie I
made. Navigation wouldnt load, and no sound.

Im positive that if you update the machine that is not viewing it correctly to
flash 8 the problem will be corrected. I would also suggest using a detection
to make sure the user has flash 8 installed. there is a great example on this
site here.

Hope this helps.
